Longdown Chevon (Goat) Meat Now on Sale
Longdown Chevon (goat meat) is now available almost exclusively at Longdown Farm Shop. Raised with respect at Longdown Farm, this local produce can be purchased as either a whole or half goat, or jointed, in cuts, minced, diced or in burgers.

Chevon is a delicious red, succulent and tender meat. It is one of the healthiest meat options as it it low in cholesterol and saturated fat and high in iron and vitamin B. The taste experience is described as flavoursome - similar to lamb combined with a hint of game.

Chevon is often difficult to obtain and sometimes quality and provenance is questionable. You can be sure where Longdown Chevon is sourced from and that the animals' welfare has been of paramount importance.

Chevon can be cooked in many different ways. Two favourite methods are roasting and curry. Look in at the Farm Shop for recipe cards.

The New Forest Goat Dairy, Sway supply the Farm Shop with their creamy goat's cheese. Available in different varieties, these cheeses are a delight to spread on a crisp cracker. Try the superb chive variety - awarded 'gold' in the 2009 British Cheese Awards. New Forest Goat Dairy is a member of the New Forest Marque.

Summer Means Strawberries!
An English Summer would not be complete without a juicy crop of strawberries. You can't beat the taste of a locally produced strawberry. Plump, sweet and juicy - and environmentally friendly too. Our local strawberries are sourced from Beaulieu.

English rhubarb available at the Farm Shop. Perfect in a crumble or just on its own with cream and sugar.
