Don't miss the Longdown Farm Christmas Barn - A Festive Farmyard Under One Roof!

Set among the twinkling lights and Christmas trees, excited chicks will be waiting to meet the children so that they can share their Christmas wishes. Favourite farm animals will be making an appearance too.

See the peaceful Nativity scene, which will be watched over by our donkeys. Look out for Father Christmas's tractor sleigh parked outside the Farmhouse Grotto. Father Christmas himself will be waiting inside the Farmhouse Grotto to greet the chidlren and give them a gift.

PLEASE NOTE: THE REST OF LONGDOWN ACTIVITY FARM WILL BE CLOSED.

Admission:
Under 3 year olds/child season ticket holders/Special Needs (all ages): £4.50*
Children: 3-14: £6.50*
Adults: £2.00

*includes a gift from Father Christmas.

We do not charge any extra on top of our usual admissions for our events (unless specified for certain activities on the individual event details), and any free tickets, vouchers or special offers can be redeemed as usual (unless specified on the individual event details). Regardless of the event, our usual full day's schedule of hands-on activities will carry on alongside*.

SUNDAY 15TH MARCH


Free of charge entry for all the lovely mums on their special day.

(Please note: free of charge child vouchers cannot be accepted from the same family group if mum has free of charge entry. Thank you.)

FRIDAY 3RD APRIL, SATURDAY 4TH APRIL, SUNDAY 5TH APRIL & MONDAY 6TH APRIL



What better place to celebrate Easter than at the Farm surrounded by chicks, lambs and bunnies? Join in with the fabulous Longdown Easter trail, which is suitable for the whole family. Search for the clutches of eggs in their specIal nests, which are hidden around the Farm. Children will receive a little yummy chocolate treat at the end of the trail.

Also, for older children and adults, keep a look out for the very special golden eggs: ten will be hidden around the Farm at the beginning of each day. They are VERY hard to find, so an 'eggs-tra' special chocolatey gift will be given to those who are fortunate enough to find one!

Easter Sunday ONLY (5th April 2015): Every child that arrives at the Farm in their own Easter bonnet will be allowed entry at a concessionary rate of £5.00 each. (Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.)

SATURDAY 2ND MAY


Traditional Morris dancing by Deorfrith Morris. Live music and dancing - watch and join in! 

The wonderful Deorfrith Morris dancers travel the New Forest during the nearest Saturday to May Day to perform their traditional dances. They will be visiting Longdown and dancing from approximately 2pm to 3.30pm.

 

MONDAY 25TH MAY TO FRIDAY 29TH MAY


Find farming implements hidden around the Farm using clues on our fun quiz sheet. All children who take part will receive a little gift at the end of the forage for all that super snooping! Great for nosey parkers!

SATURDAY 30TH MAY AND SUNDAY 31ST MAY

Our friends from the New Forest Vintage Tractor and Engine Club are back with their fantastic exhibits, so come on down to the Farm for a glimpse of yester-year. Lots for the children to see and do including bumpy tractor rides, miniature steam engine rides and the fabulous tractor v children tug of war.
Displays of vintage tractors, vintage working machinery and engines. Working demonstrations such as woodcutting on the sawmill and cooking in the Victorian country kitchen. Also crafts. There'll be a rural, vintage surprise around every corner!
Plus our usual schedule of hands-on farming activities will run throughout the day.
Usual admissions apply - no extra charge.

SUNDAY 21ST JUNE

Free of charge entry for all the dads on their special day.

TUES 28TH JULY, WED 29TH JULY AND THURS 30TH JULY

Some of the animals will be packing their bags and heading off to Brockenhurst for the fabulous annual New Forest Show. Come and see us in our tent, where there will be lots of different farm animals to see, touch and feed.

(Please note: Longdown Activity Farm will remain open as usual on these dates, with a full schedule of hands-on activities, as normal.)

SATURDAY 31ST OCTOBER AND SUNDAY 1ST NOVEMBER
A weekend of spooky stuff to see and do, including pumpkin carving* and paper bat making. Transform the most angelic child into a monster with our brilliant face-painter, Katie*.

SATURDAY 31st Oct ONLY: Meet and hold a barn owl and see lots of creeeepy creatures like rats, snakes, cockroaches and huge snails, courtesy of our friends from The Creature Teachers.
