A big thank you to Farmer Bryan for making Hayleys Hen farm do such an amazing experienc! I don't think any of us realised how much contact we would have withs the animals, it really made the day. I dont think I will ever forget being eaten alive by the adult goats. We all had a great time and many many laughs, and even survived Hayley driving the tractor! Thank you very much and I will be back with my children in the holidays. Kind Regards Nicky.

We went to Longdown as a year group (Year 4) yesterday. We really enjoyed holding the rabbits because they had velvety soft ears and twitchy noses with long whiskers. We loved feeding the goats because they pulled the bottles from our hands and they were so strong. One of the bigger goats took a whole plate from one of us! We think one of the members of staff plans to buy a couple of goats for the school stables to live with the horses, but we will have to wait and see! The milking competition was exciting but the boys were whipped by the girls!!!
We all look forward to returning soon, perhaps for a birthday party. Thank you for a super day.

This was our second trip to the farm for my daughters Rebecca's 4th birthday. We had an even better time than last year and I'm looking forward to taking my baby here for her 1st birthday. The staff are wonderful and we got quite emotional about seeing lovely Billy the horse again - he is an absolute star. So much to do and see. Highly recommended to anyone with kids. Love the gift shop too! Could spend a fortune in there! Looking forward to returning next year Billy xxx

I took my two boys aged 2 years and 6 years here yesterday. It's the first time we have been and they both had a wonderful time. Everything is so well laid out and very clean. The refreshments and gift shop are reasonably priced. The boys were a bit disappointed that no matter how many times they looked they didn't find an egg but we will definitely be back. The boys want to show daddy what a fantastic place they went to. We live just over an hours drive but its definitely worth the drive. Thank you for a fantastic day out!!!!!!!!

I visited the farm with my disabled son, a friend & her disabled brother. The staff (all of them) were extremely friendly & helpful, making sure our lads had every oppourtunity to enjoy each experience to the full, to them a BIG thank you. Lots to do, the tractor ride was a particular favourite along with the small animal petting, a wonderful day, in a warm welcoming atmosphere and all very reasonably priced too. We will definitely be back :o)

We had a wonderful day out here on Sunday. We have a 2 yr old and a 9 yr old and it is often difficult to find attractions that amuse them both, but Longdown Farm ticked all the boxes. I thought all the activities were very well thought out and everywhere was clean and tidy. Lunch was nice too and very reasonably priced. Sophie particularly liked collecting eggs and Paul loved the tractor ride.

Sorry to hear that one of our visitors was disappointed with their visit, surley when you visit a farm with activities involving animals ALL DAY you would at least make the effort to join in!
As for the over flow car park - yes it is a field, as just incase you have not noticed we have had 2" of rain during the last week.
Of course we welcome your comments and are happy to display them all, not just the 'selected ones'

I was extremely disappointed with my day here - after reading all the rave reviews which are obviously selected I expected a nice day out not go for an hour and be done. If it wasn't for the soft play I would have have left after an hour but £7.25 for going to soft play is rather expensive! Will not be returning or recommending to any friends. Overpriced for not a lot and got stuck in the car park (if you can call it that - muddy field)

We have been coming to the farm for more than 10 years. We are season ticket holders and visit regularly. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Each year there are new developments that make it interesting and fun. My children love all the activities particularly the hands on animal handling and feeding. We always follow the advice that the staff and signs give us, to wash our hands after touching the animals and before eating. We have never experienced any problems and will continue to visit and enjoy the farm.
It's a brilliant day out for all the family.

I have been going to Longdown since I was a little toddler. I am now 14 and still enjoy many of the activities at the farm!
I've had many Birthdays there and have even done a few Farmer's Days!
Every time I visit I have an enjoyable time and all the workers are so cheerful and kind.
Me and my sister Emily also bought 2 guinea pigs from here about a month ago and we were amazed by how lovley they were, and such a good price! The farmers were helpful about the care we needed to give them and so far they are the best pets I've had!
Thank you so much, Brian + Dawn!

Hi
I visited the farm on my 22nd birthday yesterday. It brought back many memories as we used to have a season ticket, probably for 4 or 5 years and my brother and I used to enjoy helping Bryan. I can remember feeding the animals and we also helped out with some "mucking out". The farm is as brilliant as ever and the extra facilities and improvements which I noticed have enhanced the experience for young children even more. Thanks.

I picked up my little rabbit yesterday and he is doing really well despite being the runt! He was a bit quiet at first but today is the little devil we first witnessed - I cannot express how grateful I am to Kerry and Kim! These two really know their job, (and rabbits)- Thank you both again for all your help! Far better to get a pet from here - well handled and innoculated - rather than to pick one up from a 'free to good home' card in the local newsagents! This place knows what they are doing with regards to livestock! Next stop - chicken!!

Superb day out for all the family... Enjoyed the horse riding and tractor ride , play area is lovely. All animals so well looked after and always put first as they were not allowed to be handled in the hot weather but stroked... rabbits & piglets and got to hold the chicks! Fed the ducks and gave a bottle of milk to the kid goats and calfs. Lots of oppportunities for lovely photos. Great indoor ball pit for a bit of time out of the sun... Loved our day and well worth the visit ! Top Tip print the colouring competition out for your child and get them to complete it prior to your visit , hand it in when you arrive and they get in for free saving you £6! Enjoy the farm !

My little boy and I always have a great day at Longdown. He has been enjoying trips there since he was a toddler, and he is now 8 years of age and still never wants to leave the farm when its time to go. Thankyou for another lovely day out.

Thankyou for a lovely day, my 4 year old and 2 year old came as part of little angels playgroup, and they loved it. Although the weather wasn`t great, they still enjoyed the pony, and tractor rides. The soft play was also a success as they actualy played together without any arguments.
All the staff were friendly and the tractor driver was very kind helping us on and off.

Thankyou for a fabulous day out...despite the rain! You made us all feel very welcome.
The children all enjoyed seeing and feeding the animals and it was especially lovely to see the nerves of a 3 year old turn to smiles as he bottle fed a kid.
I overcame a lot of my fears too - holding a chick, feeding goats and pigs were all a first for me...dare I admit at 42!
Thankyou again for a great day - we'll be back!
From one very happy Childminder (who will be recommending Longdown to parents and minders alike)

My two children and I have been coming to Longdown every year since 1995, and are going again tomorrow to celebrate my son's 12th birthday. We never grow tired of seeing all the wonderful animals and doing the "egg collecting" and were delighted with the addition of trampolines a few years ago. Despite being 42 years old, I enjoy bouncing on the trampolines as much as the kids (despite some of the odd looks that I somtimes get from other "sensible" parents). I hope that Longdown continues to flourish over coming years & thank them for all the happy memories they've provided.

What a great day we had at Longdown farm, this was our 3rd visit since finding out about it last year for my daughters birthday treat. I recommend it to everyone, there's so much to do. My daughter loved feeding the animals and the ride on the tractor but especially she loved the rabbits and the Kid goats. Whatever the weather there's something to do and you never get bored.

At frist I wasn't sure about going to a farm and if it was going to be fun as I'm a teenager and am not in to all that stuff but I was proven wrong! I had a great time feeding the animals and going on the Go-Karts with my Gran :) I also loved the Ice-Cream (lol) Thank you for a really fun day :D

I would like to say a very big thank you to Farmer Bryan and his staff for making my daughter Sarah's 7th birthday on Sunday, 5th April such an enjoyable time. She said it was the best party she has been to! All her friends had a great time. Everyone enjoyed handling the animals, tractor ride, feeding the lambs and calves etc. We will definitely be visiting again a few times over the summer.
Thanks again.

We visited Longdown on Saturday 20th December and what a totally fantastic day. My 4 yr old daughter had so much fun feeding all the animals and really enjoyed hunting for eggs from the chickens, alas we were not in time to find one that had laid!!! The santas grotto was amazing and santa was fantastic, he really took the time to talk to my daughter rather than putting a present in her hand and sending her on her way!!! Well done all at Longdown you made our day truly special!!!! Happy Christmas!!!

What a great day out, My wife and I have just got back from taking our 3 and 4 year old boys today. The site is nicely spaced out for smaller children and the first day out I can think of with no tears (well until home time at least - The boys really didn't want to leave!) Thank you to Brian and all the staff for providing such "real" hands on and wonderful place to visit. We will be going back.
P.S. Very well priced.

Me and my fiance Jim had a great time today, finding the eggs was the best bit of my day! We found the eggs and bought them and took them home and ate them, the animals were great. Smelly but very great. We also went to the farm shop and got some burgers and Jim loved them, he just had them for dinner. So much better than something from a supermarket, we loved it SO much that we are coming back tomorrow!
We also bought 3 hens for our garden two weeks ago and they have already started laying, We think we will come back atleast once a week.. =)
Everyone was friendly and was a great cheap day out!! Thanks guys!!:D

This has to be, without a doubt the best farm we have visited 'ever'.
The children could get hands on with the animals which was fantastic! We fed the calves and kid goats bottled milk. We fed the pigs, handled rabbits and chicks. Went on a tractor ride, played in the indoor and outdoor play area, visited the shops, and did much more.....
my daughter enjoyed it so much she cried when we had to go home.... We will def be back again.
Thankyou Longdown for a fabulous Day out.

I really enjoyed Longdown Activity farm because the rabbits were so cute and cuddly. I went with my friends, Phoebe, Grace and Georgie to the rabbit and guinea pig centre, and Brian gave us all a bucket with hay in it. I chose the black and brown one rabbit, there were also two other brown ones and two white ones. I called mine Blackjack because it was so darkly coloured. We had to take the bunnies to the rest of the class so they could hold them too. Sadly we couldn't take them home with us! Emelia Brown

My favourite activity at Longdown Activity Farm was when we got hold of baby chicks. They felt fluffy and soft. Toby's chick got very angry and started pecking him with his beak but Brian told us this was because he was probably holding it too tightly. My chick was calm all the time and after five minutes fell asleep. I then returned the chick very quietly to its pen. I loved the day! Sebastian.

On Thursday we visited Longdown Activity Farm.
We had a great day.
My favourite part of the day was when we got to go and see the piglets.
Brain our tour guide put a piglet in a bucket.
Sophia and Georgie got to take the piglet around for us to stroke.
The piglet must have got scared as he made an escape from the bucket and ran off.
Sophia was quick to catch him.

we came for the first time to your farm on monday 10th march, the worst day for wind and rain i think we could have chosen, but we had a fantastic day it was very quiet so i felt safe that my 2 yr old daughter could roam free (within sight) she enjoyed feeding the animals, the ducks were her favourite being so young, she was in her element, she loved the hay barn and the indoor soft play, the whole day was great the girls doing the feeding and animal holding were very friendly and great with my little girl, the lady in the shop was fantastic and i bought a beautiful hand made noahs ark plaque for my baby sons bedroon its beautiful, thank you also to the man in the farm shop, you were all so welcoming and we couldnt have picked a better place to come on such a miserable day, it was a wonderful day for us and we will definately be back again soon probably after easter when my husband comes back from his deployment, we are having the barramundi tonight so i will email and let you know how it goes with them.
