"There's so much to do, great value for money and a great day out. I would recommend it to anyone"
"Even in the rain we all had a fantastic day out"
"The BEST farm ever!"

All around the Farm are examples of the usual farm animals you would expect to see as well as some less common creatures. Our animals’ welfare is of paramount importance to us. They are happy, very friendly and are looking forward to meeting you. Look out for: |
|
Cows![]() |
We have different breeds for you to spot including Friesian Holstein, Hereford and Jerseys. Don't miss the mini herd of Friesian calves in the cow shed. You can bottle feed them if you want to. Also don’t forget to visit Kerry, our celebrity cow. You will find her in the cow shed. She has appeared on national television in adverts for PG Tips and Heinz soup. She has also worked with Nick Knowles in the Real Rescues television programme on ITV1. |
Goats![]() |
There are always over 100 kids on the Farm. The younger ones need to be bottle-fed, while the larger ones eat from plates! New for 2010:watch the playful pygmy goats - the children will love them! |
Poultry![]() |
We have lots of chickens to see and in our Chick Shed, you can see how the chicks develop from eggs through to fully grown chickens. During Baby Animal Encounter, you will get the opportunity to hold the chicks. As well as chickens, we have ducks (sometimes ducklings), and geese. Chickens are available for sale to good homes. |
Pigs![]() |
We have a variety of breeds such as Kune Kune, Large White and Wessex Saddleback. Look out as we quite often have a litter of piglets, for you to see. |
Horses![]() |
We have several horses, ponies and donkeys to meet. They range in breed and size from our tiny miniature shetland pony, Stevie to our enormous - but gentle, Shire horse Billy. |
Rabbits![]() |
We have lots of rabbits and guinea pigs. You can hold the babies during the Baby Animal Encounter sessions. Kerry Pass is in charge of the rabbit and guinea pig breeding programme – they are available for sale to good homes. |
Alpacas![]() |
Alpacas look like small llamas – they are very woolly and very friendly too. Come and meet our mini herd here at Longdown. |
